It’s now just one week to go before TOSCON14 opens at Victoria College on the University of Toronto campus and I couldn’t be more excited. We’ve been planning this conference since October and even with all the macro and micro tasks that have needed organising since its inception, it’s hard to believe that it’s almost here!
Unless you’ve organised a conference yourself, you’d be surprised at all the little things to remember–those little details like signs for each of the rooms, last-minute info for presenters, stickies for all of the registrants to wear proudly–that come right at the end. I truly hope we’ve thought of everything, but inevitably there’s something we can always do better.
It’s with this attitude in mind that I hope everyone who attends simply enjoys the professional development, the camaraderie, and the opportunity to start conversations about the topics that mean the most to you. TESL Toronto has worked very hard to bring our community together, both local and more international than ever. You, as our membership, be proud to be part of TESL Toronto and make the most of your conference experience. Smile: we’ll smile back. 🙂
I am sincerely looking forward to seeing all of you and participating in the sessions along with you on Day 1 at Victoria College and/or Day 2 at Sidney Smith and Wetmore Halls.
On behalf of everyone on the TESL Toronto Executive, thank you for registering and for your ongoing support. Enjoy yourself!
